The history of the band, Bonum Voces, has started in Vienna on St. Peter’s square where two music enthusiast met. It gave birth to Beautiful Sounds, i.e. Bonum Voces. Currently, the group includes the best instrumentalists from the lovely region called Roztocze – Jarosław Kloc (accordion), Piotr Trojanowski (clarinet, flute), Dariusz Słota (violin), Dariusz Bielański (guitar), Michał Budzyński (double bass), Remigiusz Kozak (percussion instruments). Wherever the band, the fun is ensured. Energetic pieces played in an ambitious and modern way are rooted in the indigenous music of the world nations. It is the one and only opportunity to listen to the melodies that survived centuries and learn a little bit about far-away cultures.
The Folk Group Pokolenia comprises of the dance-loving residents of Biłgoraj and neighboring areas who, upon their graduation, decided to live and work in Biłgoraj. The group has been operating at the Biłgoraj Culture Center since October 2012. Its repertoire includes various types of regional folk dances, such as biłgorajskie, lasowiackie, Ukrainian, rzeszowskie, Gypsy as well as Ukrainian and the “Jewish Wedding.” They have performed in Hungary, Lithuania, Ukraine, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland. The group is managed by Anna Iskra, an experienced choreographer, and instructor, Polish diaspora folk dance ensembles consultant.
